Middle Georgia roads are about to get millions of dollars in upgrades.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said it announced bids that included:
• about $3.6 million to resurface more than 15 miles of Ga. 87 in Monroe County, from near Taylor Road to the Butts County line. Work will be completed by August 2014.
• about $2.7 million to widen 2.68 miles of U.S. 319 north of East Dublin and extending north of Willie Wood Drive. The work is scheduled to be complete by March 2015.
